Shonchalai Oorjak-Choodu, a female throat-singer from Republic of Tyva. As she says: “I sing and perform khöömei as long as I remember myself”. She was born and raised up in musically talented family in Western Tuva. She used to be a member of “Tyva kyzy” ensemble. Now she is in “Tyva” ensemble, the legendary band in Tuvan music history where all famous throat-singers came from. © Victoria Peemot
